Making the most out of ASW 2023

The success of a trade show/event is not only subject to the number of visitors or exhibitors but also to the visitation of the right kind of buyers to your booth.

It is a fact that you need not have hundreds of buyers visiting your booth; rather a handful of relevant visitations should serve the purpose provided the product categories, quality and MOQs match the buyers’ requirement as does the credit worthiness of the buyers for you.

So, how do you attract the right kind of buyers to your booth? Here are a few factors that will determine how it might all end up.

  • To start with, does your booth rightly represent your product specialisation that fulfils all quality parameters?
  • Does your booth look like a shop or present a well thought-out act of chosen collection as per the current trends?
  • Does your booth convey the message of sustainability spanning the vital parameters of ESG?

Having said that, it may still not be enough for a buyer to visit all the booths meeting their criteria and this is where you may do the following three things:

  • Firstly inform the event organiser on the kind of buyer(s) you would like to meet so that the delegation for those buyers could be especially asked to visit your booth.
  • Furthermore, you may request your distinguished clientele to visit the event as more often than not, they prefer to see what others have on offer to get a feel of things even as the buyer(s) sees, evaluates and makes an informed decision in your favour.
  • Last but not the least, make sure to attend the wide range of workshops, panel discussions and bridging talks that are on offer at ASW 2023, as well as post-panel discussions and vendor presentations to meet the buyers, introduce yourself and ask some relevant questions to break the ice since it is a very deliberate effort by the organiser to send only very few targeted buyers on the panel discussions.

It is advisable to exchange business cards and invite the buyers to your respective booths so as to discuss things in detail, build the much-needed personal rapport, get deeper insights into their requirements and who knows you might very well be able to strike that elusive deal then and there itself, which we have seen happening many a time in both the editions of ASW.

Curated on Networking, Opportunity, Knowledge and Inspiration, ASW is as popular a sourcing platform as it is for disseminating Knowledge while opening the gates of new opportunities through endless Networking prospects and Inspiring businesses to touch all new heights!

After the grand success of the second edition, the most-awaited sourcing event of Asia Apparel Sourcing Week (ASW) is all set for its third version and this time around at a much grander scale.

Mark the dates! It’s on 20th-21st July and the venue is Bengaluru’s iconic Grand Sheraton Hotel & Convention Center, which would witness participation by 8000-plus brands and retailers from across the globe and 200 hand-picked suppliers from across manufacturing strongholds in Asia.
